According to the problem,
y = 3x --(i)
y - 10 = x --(ii)
Putting the value of x from (ii) in equation (1),
y= 3(y-10)
y= 3y - 30
2y = 30
y = 15
Putting the value of y in (i)
15 = 3x
x = 5
Therefore first container has 5 litres of milk and the second has 15 litres of milk
