the width of a rectangular room is 3/5 of its length x metres. if perimeter is y metres, write an equation connecting x and y. find the floor area of the room​

Answer :-

Equation ❥• y = 6x

Area = 6x²/5 m²

Given :-

l = x ; w = 3l / 5

Perimeter = y

To find :-

w = 3l / 5

w = 3x/5

Perimeter => y = 2(l+b)

y = 2(x+3x/5)

5y = 2(5x+3x)

5y = 2(15x)

y = 6x (equ.)

Area => A = 2lb = 2(x)(3x/5)

= 6x²/5m²
