After,

25 students joined with the 100 students so food consuming increased and availability of food is decreased

Note : The food quantity is same at both situations.

In initial situation,

No of students = 100

Food provision = 20 days

Food quantity = x

In final situation,

No of students = 100 +25 = 125

food provision = k ( say )

Food quantity = x ( same)

so, 100 × 20 = x and 125 × k = x

then 100 × 20 = 125 × k

therefore k = 16 days
