Total number of envelopes =1000
No of envelopes that contains no prize =1000-(10+100+200)=1000-310=690
Therefore probability =690/1000=69/100
Hope this will help you.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of envelopes=1000

Rs 100= 10 envelopes

Rs 50= 100 envelopes

Rs 10= 200 envelopes

Hence, total number of envelopes that contain cash prize= 310 envelopes.

Now,

Number of envelopes that don't contain any prize=1000-310

                                                                                   =690.

P(getting an envelope that does not contain cash prize)= 690/1000=69/100.

Best of luck!!!
