There are 21 students in a class. The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls is 4:3. How many girls are in the class?

Number of boys to number of girls=4:3

Let 4x be number of boys and 3 x be number of girls.

4x+3x=21

7x=21

x=21/7

x=3
