Given:-

  • Total no.of.people = 40
  • No.of.females = 25
  • Remaining are males.

\\

To find:-

Ratio of:-

  • a)The number of females to number of males.
  • b)The number of males to number of female.

\\

Solution:-

\\

According to question,

No.of males = Total no.of.people -No.of.females

                     = 40 - 25

                      =15.

Hence,

No of males in the office = 15

\\

Finding ratio's :-

(a)The number of females to number of males

\\

⤠Ratio = No.of.females/No.of.males

          = 25 / 15

          = 5/3

\\

(b)The number of males to number of female.

⤠Ratio = No.of.males/No.of.females

         = 15 / 25

          = 3/5

Hence,

The number of females to number of males is 5:3

The number of males to number of females is 3:5.
