According to question

Flowers in heap   = 8,  45,  617

Thus total  number of flowers = 8 + 45 + 167
                                                = 220 Flowers

Flowers needed for 1 garland = 11
So flowers needed for n garlands = n * 11

So                            11 * n = 220
Thus                                n  20

So no flower is left

Answer:

10 flowers

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : There are 8, 45, 617 flowers in a heap.

To Find: How many flowers should be taken out from the heap so that garlands can be made each having 11 flowers?

Solution:

There are 8, 45, 617 flowers in a heap.

Total number of flowers = 8+45+617=670

Now we are supposed to find the number of garlands of 11 flowers

So, number of garlands of 11 flowers

Dividend = Divisor * Quotient + Remainder

670= 11* 60 +10

Thus the remainder is 10 .

Hence 10 flowers  should be taken out from the heap so that garlands can be made each having 11 flowers
