EXPLANATION

GIVEN

Two boxes are tied to each one is 4kg and

other is 3kg.

20N left and 40N right

TO FIND TENSION OF EACH BOXES

First we can draw F. B. D of block.

then, we can see that direction of acceleration

is move from 40N.

Now using second law of motion

Fx = Max

From F. B. D of block 4kg we get,

40N - T = 4a .....(1)

From F. B. D of block 3kg we get,

T - 20N = 3a .....(2)

From equation (1) and (2)

we get,

20N = 7a

a = 20N/7 m/s^2

put the value of a = 20/7 in equation (1)

we get,

40 - T = 4a

40 - T = 4 X 20/7

-T = 80/7 - 40

-T = 80 - 280 / 7

-T = - 200 / 7

T = 200 / 7

therefore,

value of tension = 200/7 = ANSWER
