Side of square = 10cm (Given)

Electric flux = E.S

E = 100i (N/C)

Side of the square, s = 10 cm = 0.1 m

Area of the square, A = s² = 0.01 m²

Area vector (S) will be normal to the plane  

Therefore

Electric flux = 0.01 × 100k = 1

Hence, the flux through the plane in x-y plane would be 1.0 Nm²/C.
