There is a considerable increase in the atomic radius from nitrogen to phosphorus ,but from arsenic to bismith only a small increase in atomic radius is observed . Why?

Due to poor shielding effect of d and f shells which leads to increase in effective nuclear charge and hence there is no apreciable changes in heavier elements of the group.
