There is a rectangle that has a length of 1/2 in. and the width of 5/16in.It also has a semicircle under the rectangle that has a diameter of 1/2 in.The scale is 1in=8ft.What is the shape's area in ft?Explain how you got the answer.

refer to the diagram attached to ans
I assume u r asking semicircle's area
area = πr²/2 = 3.14 *( 2ft)²/2 = 12.56/2 ft²
= 6.28 ft²
if inquiring abt rectangle's area then it gonna be = 2.5*4 = 10ft²

if asking left portion b/w rec and semicrcl= 10 - 6.28 = 3.72 ft²
