SP of the article = Rs. 240

CP of the article = (100/100+P%) x SP

= 100/125 x 240

= 192

Now, If we want to sell the article for Rs. 216

then new SP = 216, CP= 192

Here SP>CP, Profit = SP- CP

Profit = 216–192

= 24

Profit % = Profit/CP x 100

= 24/192 x 100

= 12.5 %

So if we sell the article for Rs. 216 we would earn Rs. 12.5% profit
