Find the selling price without the VAT:

Vat = 12.5%

Selling Price = 100 + 12.5 = 112.5%

112.5% = ₹6750

1% = 6750 ÷ 112.5 = ₹60

100% = 60 x 100 = ₹6000

Find the marked price before discount:

discount = 20%

Selling Price = 100 - 20 = 80%

80% = ₹6000

1% = 6000 ÷ 8 = ₹75

100% = 75 x 100 = ₹7500

Answer: The marked price is ₹7500
