this is because static friction comes into play when both the surfaces are interlock meaning in hindi

Yeh sab static friction Karan hei..jab static friction khel mei aata hei thab dono body ke beech mei jo choti se choti spaces hoti hei vo bhi ek saath interlock ho jate hei....
Aise interlock hone ke karan jo body motion mei hei vo ek tho uski speed kam ho jati hei ya ruk jati hei....
