According to the Bishop, god did not live in an idol, but in the hearts of human beings. With a little bit of kindness, love & forgiveness one can perceive god amongst humans. The Bishop's kind gesture converted the convict from a theif to a reformed man. The single act of kindness awakened the god within him. The Bishop symbolizes the christian notions of charity, brotherhood & forgiveness.

The bishop means that goodness dwells in every human's heart. We are created by God and God resides in every human's body, just the need is to recognise it. He means to say that as the church is open at all times for the needy, he is also ready to lend a helping hand to him.
