lamb is a kind of positive person who has a reason to live long whether carrying what everyone tells him . he didn't let him down due to his disability but on the other hand Derry was opposite to lamb he always remain sad due to his disability and what everyone thinks about him ,he always affected by him

Derry was a child who never faced this vast world when met with an accident, was demotivated by the comments of people. He always tried to hide himself from people and always find an empty place to hide himself. He did not want to face this world.

On the other hand, Mr lamb was a retired officer and faced the world without caring about their comments on him. He always keep his house door open so that any one can come and meet him. He easily faced people with his own perspective view.

hence we can say that even both Derry and Mr. lamb suffer from handicaps yet their outlook towards life is totally different.
