Three different balls of masses m1, m2 and m3 are allowed to roll from rest along three different frictionless paths OP, OQ and OR respectively from point O whose vertical height above the ground is h. The respective speeds v1, v2 and v3 at P, Q and R will be such that

Answer:

(a) v1 = ve = ve

Explaination:

Velocity of body doesn't depend on the mass of body.

It only depends on the height of free fall.

Velocity with which the object reaches the ground

  • v = 2gh

For all three masses, height is same and hence velocity at ground level will be same.

⟹ v1 : v2 : v3 = 1 : 1 : 1

⟹ v1 = ve = ve {option (a)}
