Answer:

(a) Solution A is neutral because it's pH is 7

Solution B is acidic because it's pH is less than 7

Solution C is basic because it's pH is more than 7

(b) B , A , C

because hydronium ion concentration decreases when move from acidic to basic

Three solution A, B and C have pH 7,3,9 respectively-

(a) comment on  nature

(b) Arrange A, B and in decreasing order of their hydronium ion concentration in solution.

Explanation:

a)The nature of these solution are :

With pH 7= neutral

with pH 3= acidic

With pH 9= alkaline

b) The hydronium ion is H₃o⁺

It is released by substance that is acidic in nature .

So accordingly the order is : B>A>C

A is maximum acidic as it is sour , it is corrosive ,it releases hydrogen gas with metals etc
