To a 8th class student a dairy entry about the experience in the rain

25th of December....
To dear Diary,
It is Christmas today and the streets of Kolkata are waterlocked leaving agony in the minds of the people.It is not the proper time to rain though it feels as if the Almighty has decided to rain cats and dogs today.Having spoilt the Christmas evening,the nasty weather has made itself the topic of discussion I the daily news when the streets of Parkstreet and the unmanageable mob should be the centre of focus.It has been always great to sit beside the window and see the rainy scene from it while writing to you but unfortunately this entry will always remain as a mark of sorrow and disgust towards the Christmas eve spoilt by the rain.
But wherever there is bad side there is something good too and the noise of the busy children splashing water from the puddles and the roar of the thunder accompanied by the shadow formed by the sparkling light seemed to be a compensation for the bad.
