let the capacity of 1 bucket = x.
the capacity of tank = 25x.
new capacity of bucket=2x/5∴required number of buckets=25x/(2x/5)
=125/2
=62.5

To fill the tank, 25 buckets of water is required , So , let the capacity of bucket be x.
Therefore, capacity of Tank = 25x
If the capacity of bucket is reduced to 2/5 of its present then capacity of new bucket -
x×2/5 = 2x/5
Capacity of tank is 25x.
So, no of buckets required to fill the tank -
25x ÷ 2x/5
or, 25x × 5/2x
or, 125/2
or, 62.5 buckets
Therefore, capacity of Tank = 25x
If the capacity of bucket is reduced to 2/5 of its present then capacity of new bucket -
x×2/5 = 2x/5
Capacity of tank is 25x.
So, no of buckets required to fill the tank -
25x ÷ 2x/5
or, 25x × 5/2x
or, 125/2
or, 62.5 buckets
