Forest covered land getting drowned near Mazgaon Dockyard:

The area near the Mazgaon Dockyard of Mumbai is a shallow, very low stretch of land extending in south eastern coast of Mumbai.  It is the region which used to be under forest cover for ages.

But, recently it is noticed that due to rise in sea level, the region has got drowned and even now, till date, the trunks of trees are found under the sea.  This has occurred to the recent days global warming which melts the polar ice caps, leading to the increasing sea water, thereby raising rising sea levels.
