Importance of Literacy or Proper Education
1. Education is an important input for the growth of an individual as well as the growth of a country and society.
2. Literacy Rate enhances the quality of the population as only educated and intelligent people contribute efficiently to the growth and development of a country.
3. It opens new horizons, provides new aspirations and developed values in one's life.
4. Education keeps away a person from bad habits like drinking, smoking and makes him a better citizen who always contributes for the betterment of the society selflessly.
5. It enhances the natural income, cultural richness and increases the efficiency of governance.
6. Education transforms the population into an asset rather than becoming a liability.
7. An educated person is not dependent on anybody for anything. Only an educated person can make a good, happy and prosperous nation.
