These nerve contain motor and sensory fibres and are among the largest of the cranial nerves.They are the chief sensory nerves for the face and head,receiving impulse of pain,temperature and touch.

Trigeminal is a mixed cranial nerve innervating head face jaws and teeth and is mainly concerned with movement of tongue and jaw muscles essential for chewing. But abdominal pain maybe due to damage to vagus nerve. That is 10 cranial nerve and chest pain maybe due to brachial plexus that is formed by 5th 6th 7th abd 8th cervical spinal nerve and thoracic spinal nerve and innervated chest and arms.
