The statement is false.

Conversion optimization or conversion rate optimization is also referred to as CRO. It is a system which is used to increase the percentage of visitors to a website who convert into customers or take some desired action on a webpage. Many of its principles are similar to direct response marketing in which emphasis is laid on tracking, testing and on-going improvement. There are different approaches to conversion optimization based on two main prevailing schools of thought. One of them is focused on testing to discover the best way to increase the conversion rate. The other one's focus is on the pretesting stage of the optimization process.
