The cost of cleaning them at the rate of Rs. 2.50 per square metre is Rs 314

Solution:

Diameter = 0.50 m

Radius = \frac{0.50}{2}

Radius = 0.25 m

height = 4 m

Find the curved surface area of cylinder

CSA = 2 \pi r h

Where, "r" is the radius and "h" is the height

CSA = 2 \times 3.14 \times 0.25 \times 4\\\\CSA = 6.28\ m^2

What will be the cost of cleaning them at the rate of Rs. 2.50 per square metre?

1\ m^2 = Rs\ 2.50

Then, cost of cleaning 20 pillars is:

20 \times 6.28 \times 2.50 = 314

Thus, cost of cleaning them at the rate of Rs. 2.50 per square metre is Rs 314
