science can be both,a boon or a bane.. sometimes we need science to enhance our comforts and to help us make life easier. For example if one needs to travel from point A to point B then we have vehicles to help us travel conveniently but at the same time it's a bane because the vehicles over use can cause pollution which destroys the ozone layer and disturbs the environment. science is one of best and the worst thing that ever happened to humans. Late Stephen Hawking once said that we need to control AI technology or it will be the one to destroy us. The topic has endless arguments but we need to remember even the vaccination contains extremely harmful or deadly viruses..so for me science is a bane and we need to restrict ourselves from doing anything irrational or without thinking about the future consequences.(these are not 20 lines but just thoughts upon the topic.)

Science is both- a BOON as well as a BANE. Everything on this EARTH has two faces.i.e. positive and negative, and so does Science has.
