Let's assume that the number is A
now according to the question
3A+2=23
A=(23-2)/3
A=21/3
A=7

So, the number is 7

Sol : Let the number is x.

A/Q,

When two is added to thrice that number = 23

 3 x + 2 = 23

 3 x = 23 - 2

 3 x = 21

 x = 21 / 3

 x = 7.

Verification :  3 x 7 + 2 = 21 + 2 = 23.

So, your final answer is 7.
