PARALLELOGRAM :

A polygon whose -

Opposite side are equal to each other

Opposite angles are equal to each other

Given,

Two adjacent sides of the PARALLELOGRAM are in the ratio 5 : 3

Let one side be 5x

Opposite side = 5x

Adjacent side = 3x

Opposite side = 3x

Perimeter = 48 cm

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

5x + 5x + 3x + 3x = 48

=> 16 x = 48

=> x = 48/16

=> x = 3

One side = 3 × 5 = 15 cm ANS

Opposite side = 15 cm ANS

Adjacent side = 3 × 3 = 9 cm ANS

Opposite side = 9 cm ANS
