Since both the bodies have equal momentum. MV=mv
=> M/m=v/V
=>2/5=v/V { given in question M:m=2:5}.
Therefore, V/v = 5/2
So the ration of their velocity will be 5:2
=> M/m=v/V
=>2/5=v/V { given in question M:m=2:5}.
Therefore, V/v = 5/2
So the ration of their velocity will be 5:2

Let two bodies of mass m₁ and m₂ having velocities v₁ and v₂ respectively .
we know,
momentum = mass * velocity
A/C to question,
momentum of 1st body = momentum of 2nd body
m₁v₁ =m₂v₂
m₁/m₂ = v₂/v₁
(2/5) = v₂/v₁
hence, v₁/v₂ = 5/2
