Let the mass of each body be m.

K.E. of the first body, K1= 1/2 m (2v)²

K.E. of the second body, K2= 1/2 m(3v)²

Ratio of the kinetic energies= K1/K2

= 1/2m. 4v²/1/2m.9v²

= 4/9

= 4:9 [The required ratio]

Hope it helps...:-)

Answer:

4v2/9v2( V2 means v square)

Explanation:

k=1\2 mv2

if M1=M2

then k =V2

k1/K2=(v1)2/(v2)2

k1/k2=(2v)2/(3v)2

=4v2/9v2
