Two cans of milk contains 20 and 30 litre milk respectively. what is the measure of the largest utensils so that which can measure both can completely

The volume of the two milk cans = 20 litres and 30 litres

To find,

The volume of the largest utensil which can measure both can completely.

Solution,

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by calculating the HCF or Highest Common Factor of the numerical values of the volume of two cans.

Prime factorization :

20 = 2×2×5

30 = 2×3×5

Common factors = 2,5

HCF or Highest Common Factor = 2×5 = 10

Volume of the utensil = 10 litres

(This can exactly measure the first can in 2 times and the second can in 3 times.)

Hence,the volume of the utensil is 10 litres.
