Given :

Velocity of car A = 25 Km/hr

Velocity of car B = 40 Km/hr

To Find :

The velocity of car B relative to car A

Solution :

Relative velocity of car B with respect to car A (V_{B/A}) = V_B - V_A

                                                                                        =  40 - 25

                                                                                        = 15 Km/hr

Therefore, Velocity of car B relative to car A is 15 Km/hr

What is relative velocity?

Relative velocity is defined as the apparent velocity with respect to another body that may be in motion.
