Let the two complementary angle be 4x and 5x.

A/q

4x+5x =90

9x =90

x = 90/9

therefore, x = 10

Now,

the complementary angles are

4x = 4×10 = 40 degree

5x = 5× 10 = 50 degree.

Hope it helps you.
