When it is added to NaOH, the solution has the colour of pink since sodium hydroxide is a strong base. If HCl is added the solution loses its colour and turns out colourless since HCl neutralizes sodium hydroxide being an acid.

Answer:

When two drops of the indicator phenolphthalein were added to 10ml solution changes from colourless to pink.

This is because phenolphthalein is acid-base solution. so it is colourless in acidic solution and pink in basic solution NaOH is basic in nature, solution turns pink.
