Two masses m and 2m are connected by a string passing over a pully fixed at thr top of an inclined plane.the first mass mive vertically downward drawing the second up the incline. if the angle of inclination i x and coefficient of friction is y the acceleration of the system is less than it would be if the plane were rough by an amount if??

In object of mass m2 as well as F=2mg-T=>2ma eq1) (as motion is downward). Most importantly, on object of mass m1.

F=T-mg=>ma (eq2)(as motion is upward).

When it comes to Solving eq1 and eq2 as well as we also get,a=g/3As, g/3 is the acceleration downwards;  due to this accleration upwards will be (-g/3)

And relatively, a(of mass 2m) - a (of mass m) = g/3 - (-g/3) =>2g/3
