External pressure is constant. It is irreversible isothermal expansion.

Work done=— external pressure× change in volume

W=- p2× (v2-v1)

W= -p2×(nRT/p2—nRT/P1)

W= -p2nRT×(1/p2—1/p1)

W= -1×2×0.0821×300×(1—1/2)

W= -246.3
