Let the third number be,'x'

So, the first number = x + (x*26/100)

                                 = x+ 26x/100

                                 = (100x+26x)/100

                                 = 126x/100

So, the second number is = x + (x*5/100)

                                           = x+ 5x/100

                                           = (100x+5x)/100

                                           = 105x/100

So, the difference between the first number and the second number

= (126x/100) - (105x/100)

= (126x-105x)/100

= 21x/100

So, the first number is more than the second number by

= 100*(21x/100)/(105x/100)

= (21x*100*100)/(105x*100)

= (21*100)/105

= 100/5

= 20%

So, the first number is more than the second number by 20%
