Answer:

Let the number = X

Given the two numbers are in ratio

first number = 3x

second number = 4x

Given the sum of the number = 91

3x + 4x = 91

7x = 91

X= 13

put the value of X in both numbers.

first number = 3x = 3 X 13 = 39

second number = 4x = 4 X 13 = 52

so. the numbers are 39 and 52.

Answer :-

The number is 39 and 52.

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • Find the numbers.

Solution

Given that,

  • Two numbers are in the ratio of 3:4
  • The sum of numbers 91.

Assumption

Let us assume the numbers (3n) and (4n),

  • ∴ 3n + 4n = 91

3n + 4n = 91

7n = 91

n = 91/7

n = 13

The value of n is 13.

Now, The numbers are :-

  • 3n = 3*13 = 39
  • 4n = 4*13 = 52.

Hence,

The numbers are 39 and 52.

V E R I F I C A T I O N :-

  • 3n + 4n = 91

By putting the value of (n) in L.H.S and simplifying :-

3n + 4n

3*13 + 4*13

39 + 52

91

∴ L.H.S = R.H.S
