  • Two poles of height 6m and 11m.
  • Distance between the feet of the poles is 12
  • Then , We have to find : The distance between their tops.

DC and EB = 6m

CB and DE = 12m

AE = AB - EB

AE = 11 - 6

AE = 5m.

Now, by applying pythagoras theorem in triangle ADE we get :-

AD² = AE² + DE²

AD² = 5² + 12²

AD² = 25 + 144

AD² = 169

AD = 13m

\huge{\boxed{\sf{Hence,\:the\:distance\:between\:their\: tops\:be\:13m}}}
