Since the resistor broke....
3 ohms is Resistance of 1st resistor.
Now,
1/r + 1/3 = 5/3
so,
r = 3/4....
3 ohms is Resistance of 1st resistor.
Now,
1/r + 1/3 = 5/3
so,
r = 3/4....
