It is better to use normal formula instead of hero's formula (of you're in 9th).



let's solve it:-

We have, height =5.5 cm
base =10+8 =18 cm

hence let's use the formula


1 \div 2(bh)


 = 1 \div 2(18 \times 5.5)




 = 1 \div 2(99)




 = 49.5 \:  \:  \: cm {}^{2}
