Two tugboats are moving a barge. Tugboat A exerts a force of 3000N on the barge. Tugboat B exerts a force of 5000N in the same Direction. What is the combined force on the Barge?

Combined Force = Force on A + Force on B

[Since both the tugboats are in same direction.]

∴ Combined Force = 3000 + 5000

⇒ Combined Force = 8000  N
