Sola, sola, wo ha Wo....!!
Rajdeep here.....

Do you know?
Aluminium is a metal which is a good conductor of electricity, hence it has low resistivity. Nichrome is an alloy with a high resistivity.

(a) So aluminium is used in transmission wires so that energy lost due to heat is minimum.

(b) Nichrome is used in electrical heating devices so that more heat is produced as current flows through it.
