Answer:

Dad-50years Daughter-18 years

HEY IM USING THE WORD "DAD" BCOZ U DIDNT GIVE ANY TERM FOR THAT

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of

dad =x; and

daughter=y;

2 years ago,

dad was thrice as old as his daughter

x-2=3(y-2)

 x-2=3y-6;\\x-3y=-4;..................................(i)

6 years later,

dad will be 4 years older than twice age as his daughter

x+6=2(y+6+4);\\x+6=2(y+10);\\x+6=2y+20;\\x-2y=14;........................(ii)

On combining equation (i)and(ii),

x-3y=-4;\\x-2y=14;

We get-

y=18;

Substituting y=18 in any of the 2 eqyations

x-2y=14;\\x-2(18)=14;\\x-36=14;\\x=36+14;\\x=50;

x=50;

∴THE PRESENT AGE OF

i)DAD=50 YEARS

ii)DAUGHTER=18 YEARS
