Why is the conversion of ethanol to ethanolc acid an oxdation reaction?
A mixture of oxygen and ethyne is burnt for welding. Can you tell why
a mixture of ethyne and air is not used? pls answer fast​

1. It is considered as an oxidation reaction because 2 molecules of oxygen are added to ethanoic acid by the oxidizing agent potassium permangate

2. This oxy-acetylene flame is used for welding and it is not possible to attain such a high temperature with air. Due this reason a mixture of ethyne and air is not used for welding.
