Let distance be " X "

Given :

Time required to cover X distance = 47 h

Let the time taken to travel first half of distance = t1

and next half = t2

then t1 + t2 = 47 h

we know that.

distance = speed * time

For first half distance :-

distance = x/2 and speed = 25 km/h

t1 = distance / speed

t1 = ( x/2 ) / 25

t1 = x/50

For next half of distance :-

distance = x/2 and speed = 22 km/h

t2 = distance / speed

t2 = (x/2 ) / 22

t2 = x / 44

Substitute value of t1 and t2 in above equation.

(X/50) + (X/44) = 47

By equating the value of X = 1100

So the distance covered = 1100 km
