A fraction x/y can be expressed in x/10y  if y has prime factors of 2 and 5

==> Hence this will become a terminating decimal

How?

Ok let for example x be 300 and y is 40

300/40

==> 300/4*10

==> 75/10

So:

it is 7.5 and hence 75/10 is a terminating fraction!

Thus if y has 2 and 5 as factors then only it becomes expressible in 10y form and hence becomes terminating.

Answer Option C

Hope it helps you!
