A piece of cloth is in the shape of a triangle whose base is 60m and altitude is 15m . Find the cost of
printing a pattern over it at the rate of Rs 1.50 per m2 .

let the area of triangle =1/2 base X height
1/2x60x15 =450m^2

rate of printing 1.50

total cost = 1.50x450= 675 rs

we have to find the cost of printing a pattern over it. so first we have to find the area of the cloth.

as the cloth is triangular so we will use the formula for finding the area of triangle that is 1/2 × b × h

area of the triangular cloth = 1/2 × b × h

= 1/2 × 60 × 15

= 30 × 15

= 450m²

hence, cost of printing a pattern over it at rupees 1.50 per m² = 450 × 1.50 = rupees 675
