USA has many united nations. so does every of its nation has a separate constitution?

USA stands for United States of America .Before the independence , what today stands as USA was a group of colonies.After independence, these colonies decided to come together and form one big nation.Since a group of colonies united to form one big nation,it is called United States of America.Its not that USA has many nations.Like every other country USA has states and each state is run by a mayor.
Yes each state have their own separate Constitution.Since USA is a large nation it was necessary to introduce different constitution in different states of USA.
