slip ring is a electric motor also known as computer reverse is the direction of current flowing through the coil after every half rotation of the coil due to this the call continuous to rotate in the same direction

SLIP RINGS ARE USED IN AC GENERATOR WHILE FOR MAKING DC GENERATOR ,SPLIT RING TYPE COMMUTATORS ARE USED.

THESE RINGS CHANGE THEIR POSITION WITH BRUSHES SO THAT THR CURRENT FLOW IN SAME DIRECTION AND THE COIL CONTINUE TO ROTATE IN SAME DIRECTION.
